Thursday was Thanksgiving. Our first Thanksgiving as a married couple. So, we decided to do it at our house. Well, that and the family was mostly out of town. Mom came over and it was really fun. Mom made her wonderful stuffing, and my favorite broccoli casserole. Sans and I started up the turkey and I made cranberry chutney, cauliflower, and pumpkin cheesecake. Sans also made the riced potatoes, while mom made the gravy.
We sat around the whole day and played Trivial Pursuit. Dinner was a little late (isn't it always?), and the foods was fabulous. I actually got to have a roll. :-) After dinner, we played Singstar on the PS2. My mom loves that game, because she gets to sing.
The dogs seemed happy, we were happy and stuffed. Everything really went well and it was a very good group effort. I was happy because I didn't have to say what I was thankful for this year. It's always been a thorn in my side since my mom decided that we needed to say that every year at the table since I was 11 or so.
I finished my thank you cards, picked up my Christmas cards and got those all addressed. Avoided the stores like the plague on Black Friday. Rented a couple of movies on Saturday. And have been trying to relax while working on Christmas presents the rest of the weekend.
Hope you all had a wonderful holiday.

As the song goes, we went "over the mountains and across Death Valley, to grandmother's house we go." It was good.
Tink is sounds like you had a lovely first THanksgiving as a married couple!
