Good News!

Sans at Hardees in Helena

We have insurance! Sans has had it, but we weren't sure if I was covered through his work. Turns out I was covered all along, the website just hadn't been updated, and no one would tell him anything in HR. He found out today that everything is fine. We picked up my medication last week, because I was about to flip out on Sans, and had been having increasingly frequent anxiety/rage attacks. Not to mention my blood sugar was again out of control. We had the insulin, but not the Metformin, and they work hand in hand. But now, I am back on my meds and feeling much much better. I think Sans feels a little better, too.

Other than that, everything else is slowly moving forward as planned. We have found a new apartment that we just need to apply at. It's a nice complex, within a long walk to San's work. The only drawback that I have found is the lack of W/D in the 2 Bd, 1 Ba. But it is $140 cheaper than we are paying now, and we will save a TON in gas money, close to $200 a month. Which will be fantastic. We may no longer have to live paycheck to paycheck and we can start paying our bills on time. We are figuring on moving July 2, so Sans has the day off and a little time to try and relax before he starts work on the Fourth, and giving our notice at the old place for the fifth, so I can go over and give a good scrubbing to it. Try to get some of that deposit back, anyway.

At the end of this month, we are having a garage sale at mom's. She is having the neighborhood sale on the 21st, and we will be having ours then and Friday. The following weekend is dump day, so that's where our barbecue is going, it's seen better days. And anything that is not going to be able to given to charity. We have mom's HUGE bonus room full of stuff to sell at the garage sale. I can't wait to see how much we make. We have already decided that it's all going to go toward the new apartment. And a new barbecue.

We had a great time in Montana. The ride there was lovely. Perfect driving weather. We got a bit of a late start, but we had plenty of snacks and Mario did fabulous. He is a great traveling dog. We got in around 11:30 pm, and got to see San's parents new house (lovely!), and went immediately over to Bob's to have pizza and hang out. We got to see the two friends of Sans' that are still in Montana, the rest seem to have moved out here! He showed me all around Missoula, like where he went to school, where he hung out, where the fun places to eat and shop were. It was great fun and mostly quite relaxing. It was great to get to really hang out with his parents and San's brother when there wasn't a whole lot of pressure on any of us. The drive home was equally as great, a bit hot, and I have the best farmer tan ever, but it was a nice ride. And we got the best gas mileage – around 40 mpg on the way there, and about 36 on the way home! Wow!

While we were visiting Montana, we took a day to drive out to Helena and visit San's son. We had fun while waiting for him to get out of school, just driving around. We got to watch him do some track stuff, and then we went to play video games at this cool place called Game Pods. They had console games and computer games on individual TV set ups. It was really fun. We went and saw Speed Racer in the local theater, and then took my step son home. We had a nice day. And I think that Sans is really glad that he got to see his son.

Oh, and a plug here – we went to Jiffy Lube before we went to get an oil change. Not only were they exceptionally friendly, but they really worked with us on the price of the work that needed to be done. Basically, I only had $140, the work was going to cost us $180, and they threw in some discounts, and I got about 75 cents in change back. And our car now runs great. And it was done in around 20 minutes. How great! I don't know if they are like that everywhere, but I highly recommend them.

I guess that is all for now. Hope you all have a great summer!
