We are officially moving! Our move in date is July 2. We can NOT wait! This place is getting worse and worse by the day, especially now that school has gotten out.
We are going to be around a mile to San's work, so he can even walk. Not to mention almost all of the stores that we normally peruse will also be within walking distance. Not that I am a big walker, mind you, but still... :-) Everything is right there. It's so great. We are so excited! Our rent will be $145 cheaper for a 2 bd, 1 bath. It's not the greatest of areas but for now, it will give us the opportunity to save up some money so we can move to a nicer place and be able to afford all of our bills on time, and still have enough left over to eat. And at the rate gas prices are going up, it will save us close to $200 a month on our driving, not to mention what the distance is doing to our car. We are also going to be right on the Max line, so we can go just about anywhere in Portland with a little walk.
We will be on the third floor, which is a little bit of a pain, but, at least it will be harder to break in. :-) And this way, we will also get some sun in our house. I hate being in a dark house. There are issues that I have with our apartment, but I think we can make it a happy place to live. Our deposit is outrageous (not to mention we have to pay our first month's rent) - $1100 – but still less than any other place that we looked at. We are having a garage sale his weekend that will hopefully help us out with that. I have been working for months on getting everything ready for that. I hope we make some decent money. It would be so helpful.
Not much else going on here. Just packing and getting ready to get out of here. San's hours have changed at work – he now works 3-midnight, Friday – Tuesday. I am still getting used to the sleep schedule. I am having a lot of trouble sleeping, anyway, so.... On the 10th, Sans may actually get his tooth pulled (finally). We have been in and out of dentist/specialist offices since April while they try and figure out to do with him and try to get referrals. Poor guy has been in pain probably since March. I feel so bad for him. I have an aversion to dentists, even though I have only ever had one cavity. I can't imagine what it's like to be in his shoes.
If you live in the area and are up to a garage sale this weekend, come on by mom's house – we have SO MUCH stuff to get rid of. I have been reorganizing our apartment since December, and de-cluttering. It's worked out quite well, and sigh just getting rid of everything is such a pain.
ON the green front, we have been working with all of our new cleaners and all that fun stuff, and I continue to do research. It's so expensive, but we are still doing a little at a time. It makes me feels good, and I like doing something to save the future.
Well, I guess that's it. Don't forget I have two other blogs that are listed on the side if you feel like some extra reading. I try to update as much as possible, but sometimes it's hard. The Cancer blog was being edited by a friend, but she has gotten busy with work, so I guess I'll just have to throw out what I have already written and hope it doesn't freak people out with all my mistakes. :-) If you need our new address, email me and let me know. I will send it to you! My email address should be listed on here somewhere.
Have good summer!

I hope your garage sale does well!
We just moved last weekend, I will not tell you our rent but let's just say it is about twice what yours will be! Be glad you are not in the Bay Area. Glad to hear you are doing well!
